What is ARCHIVE Oxford?

It’s a top-quality Oxford community designed especially with University of Mississippi students in mind. ARCHIVE features a variety of spacious, furnished apartments and townhomes plus a full set of community features such as a resort-style pool, fitness center, study and business spaces, and more. All just minutes from campus.

Is ARCHIVE Oxford part of the University of Mississippi?

No. ARCHIVE is a privately owned and professionally managed community. Click here for more information about the management and ownership.

Can I live with friends, or can you match me with roommates?

You can select your roommate(s), or you can apply on your own and we can match you with other students. Applicants answer a short list of lifestyle questions to help in the matching process.

What are per-person contracts?

Instead of requiring all roommates to sign a joint lease, each person at ARCHIVE has their own individual contract, with one person per bedroom. This means you are only responsible for paying for yourself — not your roommates. Even if a roommate moves out or other bedrooms in your apartment are empty, you only pay the rate for your bedroom.

What is included in the rate?

Each resident at ARCHIVE pays a flat rate that includes:

  • Furnishings
  • Internet
  • Water/sewer
  • Front-door trash pickup removal
  • Washer and dryer in each apartment
  • Community features — pool, fitness center, etc.

What size are the apartments?

The spacious accommodations at ARCHIVE range from 1 to 4 bedrooms, with a private bathroom for each bedroom. Two-story and three-story townhome layouts are also available with 2 or 4 bedrooms, with an extra half-bath included.

Are the apartments furnished?

Yes, all apartments at ARCHIVE Oxford include a furniture package that includes a full-sized bed, dresser, desk and chair in each bedroom, and a sofa, coffee table and entertainment stand in each living room. To see a sample of the furniture and other finishes, please visit our model apartment.

When do the contracts start and end?

The standard term is August 19, 2024 to July 25, 2025, with payments made in 12 equal installments. Click here for a sample agreement.

Is a co-signer or financial guaranty required?

Within 7 days after a Housing Agreement is signed, each resident is required to do one of two things: provide a qualifying guarantor (often a parent), or pre-pay the final 2 installments.

Can I pay by credit card?

Yes. Residents can pay online 24 hours per day, by credit card or ACH electronic checking. ARCHIVE offers automatic payment by either credit card or checking account — just fill out one page, one time and payments will be made automatically. Convenience fees apply for credit card and debit card payments.

Will my financial aid cover charges at ARCHIVE?

Your living costs at ARCHIVE can be covered by financial aid, just like on-campus housing. Any available financial aid funds, after university charges are satisfied, are released to the student for non-institutional expenses, such as off-campus housing. These funds can be used to pay charges at ARCHIVE. Normal payment deadlines will continue to apply.

Is ARCHIVE open to non-students?

ARCHIVE Oxford is designed and offered for students at the University of Mississippi. The per-person contracts are also designed with students in mind. Therefore, applications are accepted only from students at one of these local colleges or universities. ARCHIVE Oxford is an Equal Opportunity housing provider and welcomes student residents/families with children. There is no extra cost for minor children in the care of adult residents, other than regular charges for each bedroom space selected by the resident. A minor occupying a bedroom space rented by a parent, guardian or person with legal custody is not considered a breach of the Housing Agreement or a violation of the rules. In order to match student roommates in shared apartments, we will request roommate consent for any non-student occupants.

What kind of safety and security are provided?

ARCHIVE Oxford has a monitored fire sprinkler system, along with electronic locks plus individually locking bedroom doors. Community courtesy patrols are provided at select times. Management staff are also on-site 24×7 and can be reached by a 24-hour phone number.

What are the policies on pets, smoking and guests?

ARCHIVE Oxford is a pet-friendly community, subject to limits on animals and breed. The community is smoke-free in all indoor and adjacent areas. Guests are welcome at all times, subject to the consent of roommates and security considerations. Overnight guests are welcome, with limits on the number of days and guests.

Can I park my vehicle at ARCHIVE?

ARCHIVE offers plenty of on-site parking for cars, scooters and bicycles, plus reserved parking for an additional fee.

What other transportation options will I have?

The Oxford University Transit green line bus runs from ARCHIVE to to South Campus and the Observatory and back, weekdays from 7am to 10pm when class is in session, with stops at ARCHIVE as often as every ten minutes at peak times.

Can I see a model apartment?

Although we do not currently have a model apartment, we offer a virtual tour that can be viewed here. You can also request an appointment for a personal tour, or just stop by to see us and we’ll be happy to show you the community.
